Recently, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Yunnan Province issued the Guidelines for the Construction of the Standard System of Culture and Tourism in Yunnan Province (2021-2025) (hereinafter referred to as the Guidelines), which is the first time to combine cultural and tourism standards to guide and standardize the development of the culture and tourism industry. The Guide sets the standard modules of culture, tourism and cultural tourism integration separately. The preparation work is based on the "Table of China's Tourism Industry Standard System (2020)" to build a framework and build two types of systems, namely, government centralized management standards and market competitive standards. Among them, the government's centralized management standard system includes mandatory standards and five recommended standards, including basic standards, management standards, cultural standards, tourism standards, and cultural and tourism integration standards. The market competitive standard system includes team standards and enterprise standards. The head of Yunnan Provincial Tourism Standardization Technical Committee said that tourism standardization is an important way to improve the quality and efficiency of the tourism industry, as well as the transformation and upgrading. In recent years, Yunnan Province has continued to promote the construction of cultural and tourism standardization, and promoted the work in line with local conditions and innovation. By the end of 2021, Yunnan has issued 17 tourism-related local standards, 21 local standards in the cultural field, and 32 standards for cultural and tourism-related groups. The Guide released this time has all been incorporated into the national tourism standard system, focusing on the characteristics of Yunnan, focusing on creating a dual structure of government-led standard setting and market-oriented standard setting, and promoting the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of Yunnan's cultural tourism industry.
