As of January 18, the border inspection station of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge had inspected more than 68000 entry-exit vehicles, an increase of 45% year on year. According to the analysis of the station, there are three main reasons for the increase of cross-border passenger traffic volume: the customs clearance measures between the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao are optimized and adjusted, the traffic is more convenient, and the customs clearance willingness of Hong Kong and Macao residents is increased; As the Chinese New Year approaches, the return flow, family visit flow and tourism flow are superimposed, pushing up the peak value of cross-border traffic flow; After the implementation of the policy of "Macao cars going north", more Macao single-brand cars will pass through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, further increasing the number of cross-border passenger cars at the port. The number of entry-exit trucks passing through the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has also increased: since January 8, nearly 16000 entry-exit trucks have passed through the port, with an average of 1600 vehicles inspected daily. Among them, there are many vehicles for transporting New Year's goods, which include annual flowers such as orange, butterfly orchid and lily, as well as daily necessities such as tableware, cosmetics and ornaments that are popular in Hong Kong and Macao. In response to the customs clearance needs of people from Hong Kong and the Mainland during the Spring Festival, the daily one-way customs clearance quota at the Zhuhai Road Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (only applicable to private car and cross-border taxi drivers and passengers) was increased from 1000 to 2000 from January 18 to 21. As a result, the cross-border passenger traffic will continue to rise. In the face of the "double peak" of the entry and exit of buses and trucks, the station will smooth the "Bridge Spring Transport Road" with safe and efficient immigration management services.
