The Talent Development Committee of the Macao Special Administrative Region held its first ordinary meeting in 2023 at the Lotus Hall of the Macao World Trade Center on the afternoon of the 16th. He Yicheng, the Chairman of the Committee and the Chief Executive of the Special Administrative Region, attended and presided over the meeting. The participants mainly discussed the evaluation criteria of the talent introduction plan for high-end talents, excellent talents and senior professionals in the Legal System for Talent Introduction, and gathered their ideas. He Yicheng pointed out that the important statement on the national talent work in the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has great strategic guidance for the development of talents in Macao, and Macao should strengthen the talent support for modernization construction in combination with the actual situation. He affirmed the effectiveness of the Committee's work in the past year, and expected the Committee to continue to play its role in the future and better implement the parallel policy of "talent training, talent return and talent introduction" of the SAR government. At the meeting, the Secretary General of the Commission, Zhou Changxing, introduced the progress of the Bill on the Legal System of Talent Introduction. Tang Jizong reported the industry survey and talent data registration in 2022, including the talent demand survey related to the big health industry, high-tech industry and exhibition industry; In 2023, we will carry out the research on the talents needed for the development of the financial industry and the cultural and sports industry in an orderly manner, and prepare to optimize the "talent data registration system", and provide more practical information for the registrants. Gao Junhui introduced the relevant results of the "talent training and certification incentive plan", which was implemented in 2017 and has won more than 2700 awards by December 2022. In the future, the reward catalogue will continue to be updated according to the needs of society and industry. Liu Rundong introduced the situation of establishing contact with overseas Macao talents, and will continue to optimize the "information platform for the return of Macao talents" to encourage the return of talents. In addition, the members discussed the evaluation criteria for the three types of talent introduction plans of high-end talents, excellent talents and senior professionals in the Legal System for Talent Introduction.
