Chen Jiadong, the former director of the Standing Committee of Xiamen Municipal People's Congress in Fujian Province, was suspected of taking bribes, corruption and abuse of power. The case was investigated and concluded by the National Supervision Commission, and designated by the Supreme People's Procuratorate. Nanchang Municipal People's Procuratorate in Jiangxi Province examined and prosecuted the case. Recently, Nanchang People's Procuratorate has filed a public prosecution to Nanchang Intermediate People's Court. At the stage of examination and prosecution, the procuratorial organ informed the defendant Chen Jiadong of his litigation rights according to law, interrogated the defendant and listened to the counsel. The prosecution alleges that Chen Jiadong, the defendant, took advantage of his position as Deputy Secretary of Linzhi Prefecture Committee of Tibet Autonomous Region, Executive Deputy Commissioner of Linzhi Prefecture Administrative Office, Deputy Secretary of Ningde Municipal Party Committee, Mayor of Ningde Municipal People's Government of Fujian Province, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Forestry Department of Fujian Province, Secretary of Zhangzhou Municipal Party Committee of Fujian Province, and Director of the Standing Committee of Xiamen Municipal People's Congress of Fujian Province to seek benefits for others, As well as taking advantage of his own power or position to seek illegitimate interests for others through the official acts of other state functionaries and illegally accepting money or property from others, especially in huge amounts; As a state functionary, taking advantage of his position to embezzle State property with others, the amount is especially huge; As a functionary of a State organ, he engages in malpractices for personal gain and abuses his power, causing heavy losses to public property, and the circumstances are especially serious, he shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law for the crime of bribery, corruption, and abuse of power.
