On December 20, the executive meeting of the State Council pointed out that the problem of "the last mile" of logistics in some places should be solved as soon as possible. On December 21, the State Postal Administration held a special meeting for deployment. Under the guidance of the State Postal Administration, Beijing, Tianjin, Zhejiang and other places have introduced measures to ensure the smooth traffic, strengthen the terminal delivery capacity of express delivery, effectively smooth the "microcirculation" at the end, and escort the smooth traffic of the last kilometer. "There has been a certain degree of backlog of express mail before and the express delivery has slowed down mainly due to several factors." Jin Jinghua, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and director of the Beijing Post Administration, analyzed that, on the one hand, because some express workers were ill and could not take up their posts, the front-line receiving personnel of express enterprises were nervous; On the other hand, it was the peak business season, and the delivery volume of express delivery continued to grow compared with the beginning of December, and the delivery pressure continued to increase. In addition, some bulk cargo warehouses and distribution centers in and outside Beijing suffered from epidemics, which affected production capacity and reduced the efficiency of express packaging, sorting and transit processing. In order to maintain the smooth delivery channel and guarantee the terminal service of express delivery, postal express enterprises have taken action one after another to coordinate the national headquarters of relevant express enterprises to dispatch forces outside Beijing to support Beijing. Up to now, the production capacity of Beijing express enterprises has returned to the normal level, and the employment rate of personnel is close to 90%. The distribution center in Beijing has basically no backlog of overdue and unprocessed items, and the delivery efficiency of express terminals has been significantly improved. It is a major test for express enterprises to do a good job in the connection of the "Spring Festival does not close" service. The reporter learned that many express companies have reached special agreements with e-commerce platforms to ensure the firm performance of businesses and consumers' shopping experience, which will provide platform businesses with exclusive protection rights and high-quality logistics performance services. In addition, some express enterprises have also set up a special support group for "no closing during the Spring Festival" to connect with major mainstream e-commerce platforms, formulate specific plans for different regions, and carry out special optimization in the operation network, routing planning, market customer service and other aspects, so as to comprehensively help promote e-commerce during the Spring Festival.
