"One table" enables more than 400 online processes for scientific researchers, benefiting more than 6000 teachers and staff in the university. The "online office" replaces the "queuing office", and the "data run" replaces the "teacher run", which effectively reduces the workload of scientific research project declaration and frees many professors from the burden of running multiple departments and is widely welcomed. For a long time in the past, many scientific researchers were troubled by many problems such as too many forms, too many materials, too many reimbursements, too many inspections, difficult data finding, difficult procedures, and too long processes. In particular, the scientific research application, project approval and review within the university often require researchers to submit many paper written materials. Some review forms need to be stamped by several departments and signed by a circle of leaders. Such cumbersome procedures delay teachers' time, affect the efficiency of scientific research activities, and make many researchers miserable. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China has continued to promote the reform of "decentralization, management and service" in the field of scientific research. In terms of scientific research project management, relevant departments have continuously simplified project declaration and process management, carried out multiple rounds of burden reduction actions, and produced positive results. However, there is still a certain distance from the expectation of the majority of scientific researchers to reduce the burden, and there is still much room for reform. To lighten the burden of scientific researchers is not only a clear requirement of the CPC Central Committee, a reform task for all regions and relevant departments, but also an inherent need for the innovative development of many research universities in China. In the final analysis, it is the university's "own business". We should combine our own practical innovation ideas and measures, give play to our subjective initiative, explore more practical and practical ways to work, organically combine the dividend of reform with the innovation impetus at the grass-roots level, and form a joint force to promote reform and innovation. Huazhong University of Science and Technology has developed the "One Table" platform, which allows the process that originally took three or four days or even more to complete to be easily completed online in less than an hour, so that professors do not have to go to departments, find leaders, etc. to sign, fill in forms, provide data and submit materials repeatedly, and minimize the interference to scientific research activities. The reform of Huazhong University of Science and Technology is obviously more valuable and meaningful, as it discards the dependence of the old scientific research management path, takes the initiative to "really reform" by means of scientific and technological innovation, and strives to achieve tangible results. The university is an academic palace for cultivating pillars and studying knowledge. The administrative department of the university is not a "yamen", and can not stick to the administrative thinking, or even make a fool of people. On the contrary, on the premise of ensuring the legality and compliance of the system, we should combine our own characteristics, give full play to our own advantages, try to simplify the complexity, and make it easier for professors to open their arms and legs. By means of reform, scientific researchers can clearly complete the procedure declaration, easily invest in scientific research and teaching, and achieve innovation and creation in a refreshing way, which will help optimize the scientific research management mode of universities, improve the innovation enthusiasm of scientific researchers, and burst the vitality of scientific research innovation.
