The executive said that the goal of the United States is to reach an agreement on the delivery of these air defense systems to Ukraine within three to six months. Hayes pointed out that the time and resources needed to transfer NASAMS from one region to another are much lower than "starting from scratch" production. According to the report, Hayes said: "It takes 24 months to produce such systems, but this does not mean that they can be delivered within 24 months (Ukraine)." He declined to disclose which Middle East countries the United States was discussing with about the transfer of NASAMS.
