On the shore of the Yellow Sea, with the iron current rolling and the yellow sand rolling, a field comprehensive training kicked off. The full combat training of a brigade of the 71st Army Group was carried out here. The brigade was born in the Autumn Harvest Uprising, and its predecessor was the Eighth Route Army Headquarters Secret Service. During the glorious journey of more than 90 years, generations of officers and soldiers have been loyal to the Party and bravely, experienced more than 1000 battles, made outstanding achievements, and condensed precious spiritual wealth such as "the spirit of defending Huangya Cave" with the main connotation of fearing strong enemies and daring to show their swords. As the years passed, the spiritual torch became more and more prosperous. The brigade insists on drawing red nutrients from the history of war and military history, and takes the construction of a strong military culture as a booster to improve the combat effectiveness of the troops. In the hot atmosphere of military training and war preparation, the brigade's thick red cultural heritage has constantly generated the passion and vitality of officers and soldiers fighting in the battlefield. 1. "There is a Yellow Cliff under the Yellow Cliff Cave, and there are no peach blossoms on the Peach Blossom Stronghold. The heroes' souls live forever, and war drums urge victory flowers to bloom." The melodious singing started from behind the curtain, and the actors in the Eighth Route Army uniforms rushed into the "battlefield". In the distant mountains, a trumpet player held up his bugle and sounded the horn of victory... Recently, "I grew up under the banner of war" series of sitcom "The Horn Blows During the Charge" was staged in the brigade. The lifelike charging scenes and touching battle stories bring the thoughts of officers and soldiers back to the fierce battle 81 years ago. In the autumn of 1941, the predecessor troops of the brigade were assigned to garrison the Huangyadong Arsenal in Licheng, Shanxi. In the face of enemies many times their own, officers and soldiers carried forward their brave and fearless fighting spirit and fought fiercely with the enemy for eight days and nights. In the battle, Cui Zhenfang, a commander in command who was less than 20 years old, defended the fortifications and killed dozens of enemies with grenades; Wen Desheng, the squad leader, killed the enemy with the last grenade... Finally, they wiped out more than a thousand enemies, becoming a model of the weak defeating the strong and the few defeating the many. After the war, the headquarters of the Eighth Route Army awarded them the honorary title of "Yellow Cliff Cave Defense Hero Group". At the military parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, Xu Zhihui, a soldier of the brigade, held high the honorary banner of the "Yellow Cliff Cave Defense Heroes Group" through Tiananmen Square and accepted the review of the Party and the people. "During his inspection of the army group, President Xi emphasized that we should strengthen the cultivation of fighting spirit and the training of fighting style, and pass on the red blood. We are deeply aware of the glorious mission and great responsibility." The leaders of the brigade told the author that they always focus on "inheriting the spirit of the flag and striving to be the successor of the flag", and guide the officers and soldiers to consciously strive to be the successor of heroes. They carried out the cultural activities of "telling stories about the history of war, understanding the spirit of the flag, and assuming the responsibility of building a strong military", and told the glorious war history behind the flag in various forms, which became an important way for officers and soldiers to learn the history of the Party and the military, enrich their spare time life, and boost their morale. In the glorious history of the brigade, a large number of famous battle heroes were born in the smoke of gunpowder and shouted in the flames of war, leaving touching stories. Guarding Wayao Fort, I Am a Soldier, Fighting in Huangniwan of Taihang...... The brigade has sorted out more than 10 battle stories from its history as rich materials for theme education. These stories demonstrate the firm belief that officers and soldiers listen to the Party's words and follow the Party, and the fighting spirit of fearing strong enemies and facing difficulties, encouraging officers and soldiers to consciously pass on
