The reporter learned from the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism that at the recently concluded Fifth China International Import Expo, Christie's, Sotheby's, Fuyi's and other nine overseas exhibitors reached a purchase intention for 37 cultural relics and artworks, with a total turnover of 490 million yuan. Cultural relics and artworks will be included in the consumer goods exhibition area in the 5th China International Fair. It is reported that among the exhibits that have traded the "falling hammer", there are works of oriental artists such as Zhang Daqian's Modern Girl, Huang Binhong's Tiaoxi Fishing Hidden, Fu Baoshi's Red Cliff Boating, Lin Fengmian's Dahlia, as well as western masterpieces such as Mark Chagall's Sky in Paris, Edward Monk's Model on the Vine Chair, and Banks' Love in the Air. It is reported that the Fair has implemented the "five duty-free" policy for artworks, collections and antiques, which has lasted for three years. Through the platform of the Expo, the international cultural relics and artworks entry exhibition and sales show a trend of normalization, and the international cultural relics and artworks trade is becoming a highlight of the Expo. Shanghai is speeding up the construction of an international important art trading center. According to the Annual Report of Shanghai Cultural Relics and Artworks Market (2021), the total trading volume of Shanghai cultural relics and artworks market will reach 35.4 billion yuan in 2021, still 5.4% higher than the previous year in the context of the epidemic.
