On October 4, Geely Automobile Group of China held a signing ceremony for strategic cooperation with Sino European companies of Grand Auto of Hungary, marking the first time Geely Automobile will enter the EU market. According to the agreement, Grand Auto will sell Geely's geometric C-type electric vehicles in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The first batch of vehicles is expected to be sold in the first half of 2023. Chen Shihua, deputy secretary-general of the China Automobile Association, the main destination in Europe, said recently that according to statistics, nearly 10 Chinese auto companies have exported new energy vehicles to Europe, and Chinese new energy vehicles have accounted for 10% of the total sales of new energy vehicles in Europe. Not only Geely, but also Chinese auto companies have been constantly moving in the European market since this year. In terms of traditional vehicle enterprises, on September 28, BYD launched three models of PLUS, namely Han, Tang and Yuan, to the European market, and started delivery in Europe; At the beginning of October, Germany's largest car rental company SIXT announced that it had signed an agreement of intent with BYD to purchase 100000 BYD Atto 3 series new energy vehicles by 2028. On October 17, BYD, together with Tang, Han and Yuan PLUS electric vehicles, appeared at the Paris Auto Show; At the same time, BYD announced that it will cooperate with Shell to jointly provide better charging experience for BYD European car owners, including opening the right to use about 300000 Shell charging piles in Europe. In the early morning of October 8, the new power car company announced that its three latest models, ET7, EL7 and ET5, will be open for booking in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden through subscription mode, but only provide rental services, not direct sales. As early as July this year, Weilai also set up an innovation center in Berlin for the research and development of intelligent cockpit, autopilot and energy technology. In addition, Weilai said that it would continue to increase R&D investment in Europe. Lu Fang, CEO of Landau, said: "Norway is the first step for Landau to enter the global market." After Norway, Landau Automobile plans to enter Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Israel and other countries from 2023 to continuously expand overseas markets and enhance brand influence. Strong growth of new energy vehicle exports Since 2021, with the outbreak of the COVID-19, China's automobile industry chain has a strong advantage of toughness, and China's automobile export market has shown a strong growth trend. According to the data of China Automobile Association, China's auto exports totaled 2.117 million vehicles from January to September this year, up 55.5% year on year.
