Hong Kong holds the 2022 annual award ceremony

Hong Kong's 2022 annual awards ceremony was held in the Protocol House for three consecutive days from the 5th. On the first day of the ceremony, the Chief Executive of the HKSAR, Li Jiachao, presented awards and certificates to the 148 people who were honored. Among those who were decorated that day, 5 people, including Zhang Yuren, a member of the Legislative Council of the SAR, received the Great Bauhinia Medal, 25 people received the Golden Bauhinia Star, 19 people received the Silver Bauhinia Star, 1 person received the Silver Heroism Medal, 11 people received the Disciplinary Forces and the ICAC Excellence Medal, and 41 people received the Copper Bauhinia Star. In addition, 46 people received the Disciplinary Forces and ICAC Honorary Medal. Li Jiachao expressed his gratitude for their contributions to Hong Kong and hoped that all sectors of the society would continue to unite to enable Hong Kong to achieve a new leap and start a new chapter. It is reported that in 2022, 889 people in Hong Kong were awarded medals and awards, including 7 who won the Great Bauhinia Medal. They come from different social strata and backgrounds, and have made significant contributions to different areas of Hong Kong, benefiting all sectors of society, including social figures and public officials who have been praised for their participation in responding to the COVID-19.
