Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 48 years ago, with the joint efforts of successive governments and all sectors of society of the two countries, China Pakistan relations have achieved considerable development and fruitful cooperation in various fields. Long term friendship and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Pakistan are in the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples, conducive to maintaining regional and world peace and stability, and promoting common development and prosperity. I attach great importance to the development of China Pakistan relations and am willing to work with President elect Lula to jointly plan and promote China Pakistan comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level from a strategic and long-term perspective, so as to benefit the two countries and peoples.
