Adherence to education for four generations

[Striving for a New Era, Stories Behind Exhibits]?? Next to the booth of the "Comprehensively Promoting Social Construction" unit in the central comprehensive exhibition area of the "Striving for a New Era" themed achievement exhibition, Ms. Chen exclaimed: "A family of four generations sticks to the original intention of education, which is worthy of praise!" What attracted Ms. Chen's attention was Kuang Wenyuan, a special post teacher in Daming County, Hebei Province, and a fourth generation teacher's work certificate. Among them, there are not only Kuang Wenyuan's great grandmother's certificate of honor as a literacy teacher in 1956, her grandparents' teacher certificates, but also her and her mother's teacher certificates. Kuang Wenyuan was proud and excited when she learned that her fourth generation teacher's work certificate was displayed. She looked at the honorary certificate of literacy teacher of great grandmother Wang Yunzhen, and remembered her great grandmother's eyes full of vicissitudes of life and light: "They tell about the dedication and vision of that generation of rural teachers." At the beginning of the founding of New China, at the call of the Party and the government, Wang Yunzhen, a former teacher, stepped onto the platform and became a member of the literacy movement. She teaches primary schools in the daytime and night schools in the evening. She not only helps farmers face the loess and face the sky to read, but also encourages and drives women and girls of school age in the village to enter the classroom. In 1956, great grandmother Wang Yunzhen was rated as a "model teacher" in the campaign to eliminate illiteracy. Two years later, Guo Xiufang, a 17-year-old grandmother, was admitted to the fast normal class of Weizhen Normal University. However, because of the urgent need for teachers, Guo Xiufang graduated early and became a teacher of the primary school attached to the Normal University. Here, she met her grandfather Kuang Rongsheng. The couple heard that there were many school-age students in a village named Bai Shiwang, but the village had been closed for a long time, so they volunteered. "No classroom, no teacher, no student". They lived in the cowshed, mobilized students from door to door, and finally opened a two class Baishiwang Primary School in the cowshed. A few years later, they set up a new class in Xiweizhuang, Daming County. In 2017, the retired grandparents obtained the honorary certificate of rural teachers for 30 years. When Kuang Wenyuan took the torch of hope and took up the post of teacher, her grandparents encouraged her to say: "Your persistence in the countryside has brought about many students coming out of the countryside, which is great virtue and great kindness!" She always remembered this sentence. "Our family has four generations, and there are 12 teachers in total. My great grandmother, grandfather, grandmother, grandfather, mother, aunt, uncle, two sisters, brother-in-law and I are ordinary teachers. I, the youngest, have been teaching in a rural middle school for three years!" Kuang Wenyuan pointed to her mother Liu Chuanqin's teacher card and said with a smile, "When I was about to be born, my mother was still in class, which doomed me to be with the Three foot Platform!" This three foot platform is the biggest and brightest stage of the family and the most beautiful place in their hearts. The adherence of the four generations is not only inheritance, but also witness - in the early days of the founding of New China, 450 million people, more than 80% of whom are illiterate, and only 20% of school-age children are enrolled in school; By 2021, there will be a total of 529300 schools of all kinds at all levels, with 291 million students in school. Constantly improved hardware facilities, constantly improved educational resources, and accelerated changes in rural education landscape... As time goes by, Kuang Wenyuan and his family have really felt the importance of the Party and the state on education and China's education
