The Supreme People's Procuratorate today released data on major cases handled by procuratorial organs nationwide in the first three quarters of this year. In the criminal prosecution line, the quality of criminal prosecution cases continues to improve. Data show that procuratorial organs nationwide approved and decided to arrest 403000 suspect, a year-on-year decrease of 41%; 281000 people were not arrested, up 0.1% year on year, and the rate was 41.8%, up 12.2 percentage points year on year. A total of 1.025 million people decided to sue, down 19.6% year on year; 345000 people decided not to sue, up 49.8% year on year, and the non prosecution rate was 25.2%, up 9.9 percentage points year on year. In the civil procuratorial line, the quality and efficiency of civil procuratorial work have been constantly improved. The procuratorial organs nationwide have handled 56000 cases of effective civil judgment supervision, and put forward 11000 supervision opinions, including 3288 protests and 7162 retrial suggestions. The change rate of protests is 90.3%, and the adoption rate of retrial suggestions is 72.7%; 41000 pieces of procuratorial suggestions on illegal acts in civil trial activities; 50000 procuratorial suggestions were put forward for illegal acts in civil enforcement activities. It is worth mentioning that the procuratorial organs nationwide supported 50000 prosecutions, up 68.6% year on year, including 31000 prosecutions for migrant workers, up 55.7% year on year. In the administrative procuratorial line, data show that the quality, efficiency and effect of administrative procuratorial work have been further improved. The procuratorial organs across the country have handled 14000 cases of administrative effective judgment supervision, including 158 protests to the courts, and 82 court retrials, accounting for 87.3% of the number of trials concluded in the same period, an increase of 11.6 percentage points year-on-year; 275 retrial procuratorial suggestions were put forward, 144 retrials were ruled by the court in the same period, with the adoption rate of 52.4%, an increase of 24.3 percentage points over the same period last year; 11000 procuratorial suggestions were put forward for illegal acts in administrative trial activities, and 10000 were adopted by courts in the same period, with the adoption rate of 95.6%, an increase of 4.2 percentage points year on year; 27000 procuratorial suggestions were put forward for illegal acts in administrative enforcement activities, and 26000 were adopted by courts in the same period, with the adoption rate of 96.6%, an increase of 11.6 percentage points year on year. In the prosecutorial line of public interest litigation, we focused on the key areas of active performance of duties according to law, and highlighted the effectiveness of public interest litigation supervision. The procuratorial organs nationwide registered 153000 public interest litigation cases, up 21% year on year. There were 21000 civil public interest litigation cases and 132000 administrative public interest litigation cases. It is worth noting that in the first three quarters, the national procuratorial organs urged the recovery of the unpaid transfer fees of urban state-owned land use rights of 2.1 billion yuan through public interest litigation; Claim 450 million yuan of compensation for environmental damage from polluting enterprises and individuals; More than 356000 mu of forest land, cultivated land, wetland and grassland were recovered, repaired and cleared.
