The Regulations of Beijing Municipality on the Protection of Public Cultural Services (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations") was promulgated recently and will come into force as of January 1, 2023. The Regulations clearly propose to promote the integrated development of public cultural services, tourism and other related fields. The Regulations propose to promote the joint construction and sharing of public cultural facilities and tourism service facilities, and implement the transformation and upgrading of public cultural places suitable for tourism; Encourage public welfare cultural units, professional art troupes to cooperate with scenic spots, scenic spots and other tourist sites, and launch high-quality performance plays. Inherit the ancient capital culture, and show and explain the cultural connotation and era value carried by historical and cultural heritage such as cultural relics, historical buildings, historical and cultural blocks, historical river and lake water systems, and city site relics through public cultural services. Carry forward the red culture, tap the red cultural value contained in major commemorative days and revolutionary historical events, strengthen the creation of literary and artistic works with the theme of red culture, and cultivate key brands of red culture; Public cultural activities will be organized based on the Red Mansion of Peking University, the Memorial Hall of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Xiangshan Revolutionary Memorial Site and other revolutionary sites and patriotism education bases. We will carry forward the spirit of the Beijing Winter Olympics, give full play to the unique advantages of the "Double Olympics City", integrate Beijing's Olympic cultural resources into public cultural services, and use Olympic stadiums and other facilities to carry out cultural and sports activities to improve the capacity and quality of public cultural services. The Regulations also proposed that the city's education, culture and tourism departments should strengthen public cultural services for students and promote high-quality public cultural services on campus; Encourage schools to use public cultural facilities to carry out moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education and teaching activities; Libraries, museums, cultural centers, memorial halls, local chronicles and other public welfare cultural institutions are encouraged to provide facilities for young people to participate in cultural activities nearby in terms of venues, equipment, teachers, etc. (Outlook New Times)
