Education, unlock the butterfly password in the immigration area

On September 29, in a classroom with the sign of "Fine Brush Painting Society", Yang Yannan, a ninth grade student, held two pens in one hand, one sketched and the other painted. The two pens switched between his fingers like flowing water. A picture of bamboo and birds was being displayed under the pen... The school is located in the arid zone of central Ningxia in northwest China. At the end of the 20th century, it was still an ancient wasteland with a radius of nearly 100 kilometers. After more than 20 years of development and construction, it has become the largest ex situ ecological resettlement area in China and the happy home of 230000 migrants. "What is the difference between today and the past? It is written on the faces of the children!" Zheng Huiping, the secretary of the Party Committee of the Fourth Central Committee of Hongsipao, said that in the past, Xi Haigu's dolls were all "three eggs": the sun turned red, with potato eggs in his mouth and buttocks exposed in his pants. Over the years, many of his colleagues have seen their students become government officials, people's teachers, urban white-collar workers or entrepreneurial pioneers, and they have sighed: children are the largest "increment" in the immigration area. Because of education, immigrant children have had the opportunity to make a difference in life. So far, Liu Xiaoping still remembers the way to school in Xihaigu's hometown: her Chinese teacher was also her father's Chinese teacher. "In the first and second grades, there were dozens of students in the class. By the fourth grade, there were only seven people in the class." In Liu Xiaoping's memory, both Chinese teachers and math teachers are omnipotent, with music, art, sports, science and other courses. The classroom is a bungalow, occasionally leaking. "It's the worst winter. The cement stove is used for heating. On the way to school, the students consciously picked up firewood and brought it to the class, but it seems that they have never been warm before. Everyone is wrapped in cotton padded jackets and dressed like rice dumplings." In July 2012, the village was relocated as a whole. At the beginning of the new semester, Liu Xiaoping moved with her parents to Hongsipao, more than 200 kilometers away, and entered Hongde Yanbao Primary School to study in the fifth grade. It takes about ten minutes to walk from home to the school gate. For the first time, I have classes in the third floor teaching building, and I see radiators and electronic whiteboards for the first time. It was also the first time for me to take the English test, but I only got more than 20 points. Liu Xiaoping never took the English class that should be offered in the third grade in her hometown. In the new environment, she made rapid progress. When I graduated from primary school, I got a full mark in English... Last summer, Liu Xiaoping, who graduated from Hongsibao No. 1 Middle School, was admitted to the preschool education major of Ningxia Normal University. In this year, there were 34 people in Hongde Village where she lived who were admitted to more than two universities. Shi Jinhai, vice principal of Hongsipao Middle School, still clearly remembers the parent surnamed Ding whom he met 17 years ago. Before moving, he hired a junior high school dropout to tutor his three children. As the "little teacher" could teach less and less, he decided to move to Hongsi Castle. "His daughter was over 20 years old when she took the college entrance examination. In most similar families, she may have been married long ago." Shi Jinhai said that when he was in school, a student knocked out his son's tooth. He asked the school not to expel the child who hit others, because expelling him would extinguish the family's hope. In 2009, three children of the old Ding family went to college at the same time. Now, his son Ding Yucai has become a policeman of a police station in Hongsi Fort. The other two children, one working in a bank and the other teaching in a school.
