2022-10-10

"This tax related case is very professional. For us, it is a layman's expert in supervising, thanks to the professional guidance of the specially invited assistant prosecutor." Liu Zhiqiang, Director of the Seventh Procuratorial Department of the Chongchuan District Procuratorate in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, was deeply touched when talking about a tax related case that was settled a few days ago. In the process of handling the case, the court invited specially invited assistant prosecutors with tax business background to participate, and provided reference opinions on how to fix the evidence, choose the time for recovery, plug management loopholes, and finally urged the tax authorities to recover nearly 1.4 million yuan of tax. Jiangsu Provincial Procuratorate will start to explore the system of employing administrative staff to concurrently serve as assistant procurators in 2020. Focusing on the goal of "complete, accurate and good selection", the provincial procuratorate promotes the selection and employment work by linking up from top to bottom; All business departments of the provincial procuratorate and all grassroots procuratorates actively communicate with the administrative organs, closely follow the business capability gap and blind spots, and increase the recruitment efforts in "specialized, refined, new, special" and other urgent areas. Up to now, the procuratorial organ of Jiangsu Province has employed 880 specially invited procurator assistants, realizing full coverage of "four major procurators" and "ten major businesses". In terms of professional fields, 178 people came from economic and financial, intellectual property, information technology and other fields, accounting for 20%. In procuratorial work, the specially invited assistant prosecutors give full play to their professional expertise, and assist the prosecutors to carry out inquiries, inspections, identification and other work by putting forward professional opinions, participating in joint on-site inspections and investigations, attending joint meetings of prosecutors as nonvoting delegates, and participating in public hearings, so as to help improve the quality and efficiency of case handling.
