Wang Chen, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, attended the second plenary meeting of the Law Enforcement Inspection Group of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Rural Revitalization and Promotion in Beijing on the 26th and made a speech. Wang Chen pointed out that since the implementation of the Rural Revitalization Promotion Law, all regions and departments have established and improved the working mechanism, consolidated the industrial foundation for rural revitalization, and strengthened the governance of rural ecological environment. The sense of gain, happiness, and security of farmers has been continuously enhanced, and the implementation of the law has achieved positive results. At the same time, the law enforcement inspection also found that some local rural collective economic strength is weak, rural talent shortage, basic public service resources are insufficient and other weaknesses and problems. Wang Chen stressed that we should implement the major principles and relevant provisions of the Law on the Promotion of Rural Revitalization, always adhere to and strengthen the Party's comprehensive leadership over the "three rural" work, and consolidate the Party's ruling foundation in rural areas. We should focus on accelerating agricultural and rural modernization, promoting agricultural transformation and upgrading, promoting the development of industries with rural characteristics, improving rural production and living conditions, revitalizing rural culture, and cultivating rural talent. We should give full play to the role of the rule of law as a guide and safeguard, anchor the goal of achieving strong agriculture, rural beauty, and farmers' prosperity, consolidate the foundation of food production, strengthen ecological protection and environmental governance, promote sustained and stable growth of farmers' income, and promote high-quality development of agriculture and rural areas.
