Recently, the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park, located at the end of the Zhuhai extension of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, officially started construction. This project is an important practice of Zhuhai in "making good use of and managing the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge". In the future, it will be linked with the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge port to achieve park inspection and rapid release of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge. It is an important position to deepen cooperation between Zhuhai, Macao and Hong Kong and expand new space for cooperation. It is reported that the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao logistics project, with a total construction area of 143100 square meters and a total investment of 1 billion yuan, will become a global supply chain service center integrating logistics control, supply chain finance, information consulting and professional services. The project is planned to be constructed in two phases. The first phase of the project will set up export supervision warehouses, bonded warehouses and customs supervision sites. It is expected that the initial operation will be realized in the first quarter of 2023. The Outline of the Development Plan for the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area clearly proposes to support the joint development of Hengqin, Zhuhai Free Trade Zone and Hongwan District, and to build the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park. The project is located in an important area of the extension of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, which will further deepen the cooperation between Zhuhai, Macao and Hong Kong, and expand new space for cooperation in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. In terms of geographical location, the project will directly reach Hong Kong within one hour via the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge connecting line to the east, connect Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone to the south, build an efficient transport corridor with Zhuhai Airport, Zhuhai Port and Zhuhai West Railway Station to the west via the soon to be built Jinhai Highway Bridge and Huangmaohai Cross sea Passage, and connect closely with cities on the west bank of the Pearl River via the West Guangzhou Zhuhai Line to the north. The construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park provides an intensive logistics management platform. Through the construction of the multimodal transport drop and hook center, the transportation cost of container cars will be further reduced, the utilization rate of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge will be greatly improved, and the high standard construction of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Economic Zone will be promoted. According to the plan, the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park will build the first batch of integrated double-layer ramp high standard warehouses in Zhuhai, which can be used as the warehouse for the integration of cross-border e-commerce, electronic components and accessories and other air cargo. Through information technology, the park will be linked with the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge port to achieve the park inspection and the rapid release of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge. "We will establish a '1+5+N' logistics system with the logistics park as the core, that is, one central warehouse, five trunk lines and N satellite warehouses, forming a logistics advantage channel with Zhuhai characteristics."
