In the new era, China, together with other countries, will embark on a new journey along the right path of building a community with a shared future for mankind. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which promotes the "Shanghai spirit" and leads the way of development, is the first intergovernmental international organization named after a Chinese city. It has now passed 21 years. From the initial six member states to the present eight Member States, four observer states and many dialogue partners, the SCO family has grown steadily and become an important force in promoting world peace and development and safeguarding international fairness and justice. "The Shanghai Cooperation Organization has always maintained strong vitality and momentum for cooperation. The fundamental reason is that it has creatively put forward and always implemented the 'Shanghai spirit', advocating mutual trust, mutual benefit, equality, consultation, respect for diverse civilizations and common development." Following the "Shanghai spirit", the SCO brings together countries from different regions, at different stages of development, and with different civilizations and traditions, producing strong collective strength, unity and cooperation. Under the framework of the SCO, all countries have worked together to embark on a new path of "partnership, non alignment, dialogue and non confrontation", and firmly supported each other on issues involving each other's core interests and major concerns; Cooperate in cracking down on the "three forces" and resolutely curb the spread of drug smuggling, cybercrime and transnational organized crime; Create cultural brand projects such as art festival, Shanghai Cooperation University, traditional medicine forum, vocational skills invitational tournament... Over the past 20 years, SCO has made brilliant development achievements and accumulated rich cooperation experience. It has grown into a comprehensive regional organization with the largest territory and population in the world, and has made important theoretical and practical exploration for building a new type of international relations and a community with a shared future for mankind. Zhang Ming, Secretary General of the SCO, said that years of practice have shown that the values embodied and advocated by the "Shanghai spirit" have been fully recognized by Member States. The "Shanghai spirit" represents the original intention of the SCO and is also the core value guiding future development. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the signing of the SCO charter and the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of long term good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation among Member States. As a founding member, China has always been committed to promoting the healthy development of the SCO. From vividly expounding China's views on development, security, cooperation, civilization and global governance, to vigorously advocating that the SCO be built into a model of solidarity, mutual trust, shared security, mutual benefit and mutual learning, and from sending out the message of building a "health community", "security community", "development community" and "people to people community"
