2022-09-13

On September 12, vice president Wang Qishan went to the British Embassy in China to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Wang Qishan said that Queen Elizabeth II is a promoter and contributor to the development of Sino British relations. She is the first British monarch to visit China. She has received many Chinese leaders and made positive contributions to the development of Sino British relations. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level between China and the UK. The development of bilateral relations fully shows that as long as we adhere to mutual respect, mutual benefit and win-win results, China UK relations can remain stable and smooth. It is hoped that the British side will focus on strategy and the long term, work with the Chinese side to strengthen dialogue and exchanges, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, work together to meet challenges, and ensure that bilateral relations move forward on a healthy and stable track.
