Bai Chunli made a report on the theme of "energy science under the vision of carbon neutrality". He introduced three problems that need to be solved to promote green and low-carbon development and achieve the goal of "carbon neutrality": the clean and efficient utilization of fossil energy, the improvement of the scale application of clean energy, and the efforts to deepen the capture, transformation and application of carbon dioxide. Bai Chunli encouraged young scholars to further strengthen basic research and strengthen original innovation in the field of energy science. He hoped that scientific research institutions, colleges and universities and enterprises would cooperate closely to make greater contributions to the realization of the "double carbon" goal. Qiu Chengtong made a report on the theme of "the development of basic science in Hong Kong in the past 50 years", reviewed the development process of basic science in Hong Kong, and also placed expectations on the development of basic science in China in the future. "I expect the scholars in the Dawan district to lay a scientific foundation for the Dawan District, China and the world under the changing international situation and the rapid changes in science and technology. The Dawan district will become an important base for the development of basic science and technology in the country in the future." Qiu Chengtong said. Yao Qizhi shared the theme of "interdisciplinary scientific and technological innovation". Through the innovative development of interdisciplinary fields such as quantum computer and artificial intelligence, he summarized that the accumulation of modern science, the interaction of interdisciplinary disciplines, and the combination of scientific achievements and industry are the three key factors of interdisciplinary scientific and technological innovation. Yao Qizhi suggested that young scientists should strengthen the collision with scholars in other professional fields, maintain curiosity, and actively communicate with professors and scholars in cross fields on the basis of building a solid foundation of their major. The "famous teachers' lecture hall" activity is a new attempt of the Dawan District Science Forum to give play to the advantages of the platform based on the bay area, cooperating with Hong Kong and Macao, and facing the world.
