The 40th escort formation of the Chinese Navy successfully completed the escort mission in the Gulf of Aden and Somali waters, and successfully returned to a military port in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province on the morning of the 5th. The mission lasted 172 days, with a total voyage of nearly 90000 nautical miles, effectively completed the escort task of 30 batches of 50 Chinese and foreign ships, and provided medical assistance for one ship. The 40th escort formation of the Chinese navy was composed of missile destroyers Hohhot, missile frigates Yueyang and integrated supply ships Luomahu, which set sail from a military port in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province on January 15.
