On June 13, the reader's letter edition of this newspaper published a report, "residents on the demolished land are looking forward to solving the problem", reflecting the poor environmental sanitation on the reconstructed land of a shanty town in Anqing Economic Development Zone, Anhui Province, and the lives of nearby residents are greatly troubled. The administrative committee of Anqing Economic and Technological Development Zone attaches great importance to this. The main person in charge immediately called the personnel of relevant units to the field to verify the situation. It is understood that the area where the reconstructed plot is located was originally a village in the city, and the environmental sanitation is poor. In order to improve the living environment, Anqing Economic and Technological Development Zone included this area into the shanty town reconstruction plan in 2019, involving 15 enterprises and residents, with a total construction area of 10300 square meters. In February 2022, the land requisition and relocation work was officially started, and the contracted buildings were demolished in May. So far, 7 households have been demolished, 4 have been signed but not demolished, and 4 have not been signed but not demolished. After the demolition of the building, the construction party carried out garbage removal and green net coverage as required. In order to facilitate residents' travel, no enclosure is set on the site, resulting in the phenomenon of stealing construction waste and domestic waste at night during the demolition. Due to low-lying terrain and rainy season, there is ponding on the plot. On the morning of June 13, the main person in charge of the administrative committee of the Economic Development Zone put forward rectification opinions on the spot, and required to speed up the implementation immediately: first, thoroughly clean up and transport the existing demolition construction waste and carry out green network coverage, and strengthen inspection during the high school entrance examination; Second, install fences to prevent the recurrence of garbage dumping; Third, set up safety warning signs for houses that have not been demolished; Fourth, add garbage cans and arrange daily cleaning and garbage removal. The above rectification work was completed on June 17 (see Figure). On the basis of the rectification, the administrative committee of Anqing Economic Development Zone will complete the requisition and relocation of other houses in the shed reconstruction area as soon as possible, and thoroughly solve the environmental health problems in the area; Carry out a two-week special rectification action, comprehensively investigate the areas with hidden dangers of dirty and disorderly environmental sanitation within the jurisdiction, and strengthen daily supervision; Insist on drawing inferences from one instance, sort out the shed reform and idle plots in the area one by one, number and manage them, clarify the responsible units, implement the management responsibilities, and carry out environmental remediation work in the urban village areas that have not been officially launched in combination with the investigation of self built houses.
