"Paying homage to the ancestors": 2022 cross strait cultural exchange activities to worship the great emperor Baosheng were held in Tainan

2022-06-02

On May 31, the Tainan Baijiao Tzu Chi ancestral palace and the Tainan Xuejia Tzu Chi palace jointly held the "2022 cross-strait digital cultural exchange activity of paying homage to the great living emperor in the cloud", which enabled Taiwanese believers to worship and pray for the great living emperor in the Baijiao Tzu Chi ancestral palace in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province. This year, affected by the COVID-19, Taiwanese believers were unable to pay homage to their ancestors at the Tzu Chi ancestral palace in Baijiao, Zhangzhou. In order to meet the wishes of believers to worship and pray for blessings at the ancestral temple, and to commemorate the life of the great Baosheng emperor, the Tzu Chi ancestral palace in Baijiao, Tainan, and the Tzu Chi palace in Xuejia, Tainan, held this event. Wang Xianqing, a standing member of the Tzu Chi ancestral palace in Baijiao, Tainan, delivered a speech, saying that the spirit of the great emperor protecting life, helping the weak and the sick, was revered by believers on both sides of the Taiwan Straits, gathered the common feelings of believers on both sides of the Taiwan Straits, and became a solid bridge for cross-strait folk cultural exchanges. Wang Wenzong, chairman of the Xuejia Tzu Chi palace in Tainan, said that through the exchange activities, believers on both sides of the Taiwan Straits have worked together to carry forward the spirit of the great living emperor and pray for an early end to the epidemic, so that believers can be safe and healthy. Here, I also wish the Baijiao Tzu Chi ancestral palace in Zhangzhou and the Xuejia Tzu Chi palace a lasting friendship. Emperor Baosheng was a famous doctor in the Northern Song Dynasty, wuzhenren. He had excellent medical skills, was kind to the world, and was deeply loved. Fujian is the birthplace of the belief of Bao Sheng Da Di. Bao Sheng Da Di is the second largest folk belief in Taiwan after Mazu. There are hundreds of Fen Ling temples and millions of believers. (outlook new era)
