On May 29, the first "computing in the East and computing in the west" computing power industry conference in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Dawan district (Guangdong) was held in Shaoguan with the theme of "computing in the world · data gathering in Shaoguan". This conference is the first national conference held since the official launch of the national "counting from the east to the west" project. It is also a concrete action to implement the spirit of the 13th Party Congress of Guangdong Province. Hundreds of guests from relevant government departments, enterprise associations and scientific research institutions attended the meeting. Many academicians, scholars and entrepreneur representatives delivered keynote speeches to share cutting-edge achievements, talk about new digital machines and seek the future of computing power. In February this year, the national development and Reform Commission and other four ministries and commissions approved Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Dawan district to start the construction of a national hub node of the national integrated computing network, and planned to set up a data center cluster in Shaoguan to meet the real-time computing needs of Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places and build a real-time computing center radiating South China and even the whole country. It was introduced at the meeting that Guangdong will firmly grasp major strategic opportunities, focus on the cluster construction of computing power network data center, focus on the five key subsystems of "digital network", "digital button", "digital chain", "digital brain" and "digital shield", systematically plan to promote the intensive and service-oriented innovation of computing power, algorithm and data application resources, and actively create a big data development highland with high-quality supply of computing power and efficient data circulation. According to the scheme, the Shaoguan Data Center cluster will upgrade the network level to the national backbone network hub node. It is estimated that by 2025, the comprehensive bearing capacity of Shaoguan Data Center cluster will reach 500000 standard racks, and the server scale will reach 5million, so as to speed up the building of a 100 billion level electronic information and big data industrial cluster. Gaowen, an academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, said that the construction of Shaoguan Data Center cluster, a national hub node of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Dawan District of the national integrated computing network, will promote the interconnection of important nodes of the national strategy of "computing from the east to the west", achieve National Computing integration, and consolidate the computing base of the national digital economy. On the same day, the main venue also held the unveiling ceremony of Shaoguan cluster, the national hub node of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Bay area of the national integrated computing network, and the signing ceremony of the project strategic cooperation. 30 major projects were signed, with a total investment of about 120billion yuan. The conference proposed to take this industrial conference as an opportunity to strengthen the interaction and cooperation among 8 national hub nodes of integrated computing power and 10 data center clusters, give full play to the policy superposition effect, promote the development of the whole industrial chain of data centers, and create a new benchmark for Guangdong's digital economy to lead high-quality development.
