2022-04-02

The reporter learned from the emergency management department on April 2 that in the four years since the establishment of the emergency management department, a total of 177 people in the whole system have died on duty, including 48 in 2021. Emergency management has the characteristics of high load, high pressure and high risk. The emergency management department is on emergency duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and may face extreme situations and life and death tests at any time. The sacrifice of emergency management system personnel on duty is mainly concentrated in the cadres of grass-roots front-line emergency management departments and fire rescue personnel, accounting for 97%. As one of the most dangerous occupations in peacetime, fire rescue has killed 111 people on duty in the past four years, with an average age of only 28. (Xinhua News Agency)
