Why are you keen to learn first aid after 90

2022-02-23

After cardiopulmonary resuscitation training, I came home and found a cut on the back of my hand and two bruises on my knee. For a girl who weighs only 80 kg, 750 standard press exercises in the morning did her best. Asked the colleagues who participated in the training around them, they also knew about the pain of their knees, and even didn't take care of the knee pads and cushions prepared in advance. "They were too involved and forgot that this was training. They felt that they were saving a life on the spot". When I first heard about the 4-hour emergency rescue training of Beijing Red Cross Society, I just felt that many skills did not pressure me. Maybe I could save people's lives at a critical moment. After entering the registration group, I found that there were so many post-90s and post-95s who called friends to introduce themselves and made an appointment to study. Because of the limited number of places, those who didn't sign up were very eager to report for the next first aid training. The current training of the Red Cross pays attention to the community, colleges and universities, organs and the army. Many of my peers are proud of being able to give first aid. Why do young people have such a strong enthusiasm to learn first aid? First of all, from the people around me, the post-90s are often very keen on learning. They practice offline training and first aid when they enter the community. They will also integrate first aid into their lives online through new media. During the medical season of the variety show "exciting offer", we often see netizens' learning and Discussion on cardiovascular and other first aid knowledge on Weibo; Without possible period of want or need to learn, they will see knowledge of first aid in WeChat, jitter and other social platforms. Tiktok will also take a look at them and make a collection of them for emergency needs. The second is the practical reason. Now too many young people die of sudden cardiac arrest. Maybe it will happen next time. The trainer of Beijing Red Cross Society told us that if the correct and effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation is carried out in 4 minutes after cardiac arrest, the patient may be rescued successfully, but this short 4 minutes is the time when the medical staff can't arrive in time. If people who contact patients with cardiac arrest can be treated at the first time, the survival rate of patients will be greatly improved. Third, young people in the new era are not only kind-hearted, but also pay attention to using scientific methods to improve their ability to love themselves and their families. The elderly are a high incidence group of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Once they get sick, they are very easy to die suddenly. Children learn basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which is beneficial to saving the lives of the elderly. Not only that, many 90's are living in a "official account", they will learn from the hospital guidance group or the public number, learn the hem lik first aid method and infant physical cooling, bumping, scalding and other first aid methods to deal with the dangerous situation of children. In the eyes of most young people, learning first aid skills means adding a sense of security to the family and is the best guardian of the family. During CPR training, the girls around me didn't care about the new manicure, beautiful skirt and thin pants. They kneel on the ground and try their best to save people. It's really charming! The question raised by the trainer makes people nervous: "how to deal with emergencies?" "How can CPR and AED be used together?" "When rescuing, what should be done for each 30 press?" We all forgot that we were simulating on a "dummy". If in the past, let yourself carry out mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration to people, you may be a little hesitant. But at the training site, I heard "come on, someone fainted here!" Everyone rushed forward immediately and began first aid. When the "patient" recovers his spontaneous breathing and heartbeat, he will have a sense of achievement of "saving people's lives". 4 class hours are not long, but they have learned the theory and practice of emergency rescue. Half a day to master a basic life-saving skills, or public welfare training, which is of course full of temptation for the budget conscious post-90s. According to the statistics of Beijing Red Cross Society, after training last year, the trainees have successfully rescued the patients with cardiopulmonary resuscitation knowledge and AED in the entry-exit management brigade of Haidian public security branch, Beijing Metro West Railway Station, safety engineering college, Fengtai District Longyuan Feiyang badminton stadium and other places. Most of the rescuers are young people. The Beijing Red Cross society often receives calls from netizens who take the initiative to sign up for training. They learned that the gym, catering industry, medical industry, driving industry and school teachers, especially the volunteers of the Winter Olympic Games and the winter Paralympic Games, are in urgent need of emergency rescue skills. Because they face a larger population and more emergencies, learning and mastering first aid skills can add a security for themselves and others. Several friends who trained with me taught their newly learned skills to their family when they came home, and joked: "my family can save me if they learn." Nowadays, first aid training is rapidly popularized. We often see promotional videos of first aid knowledge in public places such as subways and buses, and we will also learn more first aid knowledge on new media platforms. Undoubtedly, saving lives has become a compulsory course of life education! Whether it's a crowded subway platform or a sparsely populated street, when a life because we seize the golden first aid time window and don't abandon or give up to help turn the crisis into safety, we are so cool!
