During a video meeting with Deng Hongsen, director general of the world intellectual property organization, who came to China to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, Zhang Jianchun, Vice Minister of the Central Propaganda Department, said on the afternoon of the 5th that China would do a good job in the implementation of the Marrakech treaty and implement the treaty's support for people with reading disabilities. In order to eliminate the copyright barrier for people with reading disabilities to obtain works at the international legislative level, the world intellectual property organization adopted the treaty at the diplomatic conference held in Marrakech, Morocco, on June 27, 2013. The treaty entered into force on September 30, 2016 and has 84 parties. After the adoption of the treaty, China signed the treaty and completed the revision of the copyright law on November 11, 2020, making legal preparations for the ratification of the treaty.
