The minimum wage standard refers to the minimum labor remuneration that an employer should pay according to law on the premise that workers provide normal labor during legal working hours or within the time agreed in the labor contract concluded according to law. The minimum wage standard takes the form of monthly minimum wage standard and hourly minimum wage standard. From January 1, 2022, Henan Province will adjust the minimum wage standard of the whole province. The monthly minimum wage standard of the three administrative regions will be adjusted from the original 1900 yuan, 1700 yuan and 1500 yuan to 2000 yuan, 1800 yuan and 1600 yuan respectively, and the hourly minimum wage standard will be adjusted from the original 19 yuan, 17 yuan and 15 yuan to 19.6 yuan, 17.6 yuan and 15.6 yuan respectively. This is not an example. The human resources and Social Security Department of Fujian Province recently issued a notice and decided to adjust the minimum wage standards throughout the province from April 1, 2022. After the adjustment, the monthly minimum wage standard will be retained in four grades, namely 2030 yuan, 1960 yuan, 1810 yuan and 1660 yuan. Compared with before the adjustment, the average increase of the monthly minimum wage standard in Fujian Province was 14.59%, with an average annual increase of 6.24%. At the same time, the hourly minimum wage standard for part-time employment is also set up in four grades, which are 21 yuan, 20.5 yuan, 19 yuan and 17.5 yuan respectively. In addition, Chongqing will implement the new minimum wage standard from April 1, 2022. After the adjustment, the minimum wage standard in Chongqing implements a two-stage system, which is 300 yuan higher than the original standard of 1800 yuan / month and 1700 yuan / month respectively. The human resources and Social Security Department of Hebei Province also said recently that Hebei Province plans to adjust the minimum wage standard in 2022 and is currently doing evaluation and calculation. According to relevant regulations, the minimum wage standards in various localities shall be adjusted at least once every two to three years. The determination and adjustment of the monthly minimum wage standard shall refer to the minimum living expenses of local employees and their dependants, the consumer price index of urban residents, the social insurance premium and housing accumulation fund paid by employees, the average wage of employees, the level of economic development, employment status and other factors. According to statistics, since 2021, the minimum wage has been raised in at least 20 provinces in China, including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Tianjin, Shandong, Hubei, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Liaoning, Xinjiang, Shanxi, Heilongjiang, Jiangxi, Tibet, Hainan, Gansu and Anhui. Among them, the first monthly minimum wage standard in 8 provinces exceeds 2000 yuan. Recently, the government of Ningxia Autonomous Region announced that in 2021, Ningxia will implement the wage subsidy policy to increase the income of employees.
