Teachers do not contact the industry, do not know the problems of the industry, and it is difficult to give full play to their own level. In view of these problems, the Institute puts forward the trilogy concept to teachers, that is, integrate into the industry first, then serve the industry, and finally lead the industry, that is, develop new technologies, create new formats and explore new markets. Focus on national strategy and strive for innovation Precision optical manufacturing is a typical technology intensive industry. Only with high technical ability in R & D, design, processing and manufacturing can we ensure the high precision and high reliability of products. In biomedical testing enterprises, there has always been a situation that some core parts are dependent on imports and controlled by others, such as fluorescence immunoanalyzer, flow cytometer, digital PCR, etc. In December 2020, Dr. Jin Jingcheng's "development and industrialization of medical deep cut-off filter elements and modules" project stood out from 263 participating projects, won the winner of the growth group of the 2020 Guangdong University achievement roadshow competition, and became the first successful achievement transformation project of the University. Laitai (Foshan) Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd., established based on the project, has provided imported products to replace high-end optical components for many biomedical testing companies, solving the problem of "neck sticking" in the past. Based on the "double zone" construction opportunities of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, Dawan district and Shenzhen's leading demonstration zone, the Institute is convinced that with its advantages in the field of information technology, facing the national strategy and the construction needs of "double zone", it will layout strategic emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, 5g, Internet of things and intelligent equipment, and implement the strong core casting project.
