In terms of narrative structure, there are not only the two-line narrative with the fate of the characters as the main line and supplemented by the story of the case, but also the time-space cycle structure such as "doomed", as well as the multi perspective cross narrative such as "skyscraper". In 2020, excellent works on suspense crime themes such as "secret corner" and "silent truth" appeared one after another, which spread all over the Internet, triggered a hot debate in public opinion, and pushed the creation and broadcasting of suspense online drama to a climax. In 2021, the creation and broadcasting of suspense online drama continued to be popular. Mango TV broadcast "the twelfth second" and Sohu Video also launched "proof of silence". In the next five years, Youku will also launch ten suspense dramas in cooperation with big IP author Zijin Chen to realize the important layout of the drama. In the 2022 annual film list released by major video platforms, suspense drama, as a major drama, has jumped from a niche type to a key unit. However, while suspense online drama is sought after in the industry, the viewing expectation and viewing heat among the audience have decreased. As the opening work of the "fog theater" in 2021, the octagonal pavilion mystery fog did not continue the brilliance of the silent truth, and the online score was lower than expected. "Fatal desire" set a record for the lowest score of the fog theater. This paper analyzes the reasons why the audience reputation of suspense online drama is cold recently, which is mainly caused by the accumulation of creation and the decline of quality. Because suspense drama pursues the extreme reversal and intriguing plot, it has high requirements for the specialization and logic of creation. It needs to peel off the core of "doubt" layer by layer through continuous suspense setting and meticulous reasoning and deduction, so as to create a feeling of sudden enlightenment. However, the plot of some works seems to burn the brain, but in fact, it is forced to advance regardless of the logic of the story. The narrative structure was reversed in order to reverse. At that time, it was fun to watch, but it couldn't stand careful deliberation. The character setting is also flat and distorted, and some characters are too extreme. Some suspense plays fall into a stylized pattern in image expression and story techniques. With the increasing number of viewers watching the play, they are more and more familiar with all kinds of routines of these suspense reasoning. Sometimes you can guess the end after looking at the beginning, and you can know who the killer is by looking at the shooting techniques.
