Report on the Development of Internet Rule of Law in China (2024) Released

Recently, the Cyberspace Administration of China publicly released the "Report on the Development of Internet Rule of Law in China (2024)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report"). This report comprehensively showcases the achievements of the development of online rule of law, deeply summarizes the experience of online rule of law work, better consolidates the consensus of online rule of law concepts, and strives to create an authoritative brand for comprehensively showcasing the latest practical achievements of China's online rule of law construction and development. The relevant person in charge of the Cyberspace Administration of China pointed out that the "Report" is the first comprehensive annual report on the rule of law in the internet released at the national departmental level. It is not only a continuation of the "Thirty Years of China's Internet Rule of Law" report, but also the beginning of the annual report on the development of China's Internet rule of law. It is of great significance for fully demonstrating the new progress and achievements of the construction of the rule of law in the internet and striving to write a new chapter in the construction of the rule of law in the internet. It is reported that the report consists of over 50000 words and is divided into a main text and appendices. The main text consists of 7 chapters, which systematically summarize the concepts, achievements, and experiences of China's network rule of law construction in 2024 from seven aspects: an overview of the development of China's network rule of law in 2024, accelerated promotion of network legislation, improvement and efficiency of network law enforcement, continuous deepening of network justice, innovative development of network rule of law publicity and education, steady progress of foreign-related network rule of law, and the situation and prospects of network rule of law construction. The appendix, in the form of a chronicle, includes the key and highlights of the central and local efforts to promote the construction of online rule of law in 2024. (New Society)
