Written Address upon Arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, Cambodia (April 17, 2025, Phnom Penh) Chinese President Xi Jinping is pleased to pay another state visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia at the invitation of King Sihamoni. This visit coincides with the traditional Cambodian New Year. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, I would like to extend my best wishes to the brotherly Cambodian government and people. Cambodia is an ancient civilization with a long history. The hardworking and wise Cambodian people have created a brilliant Khmer civilization and made important contributions to the progress of human civilization. In recent years, Cambodia has vigorously implemented the "Five Corners Strategy", resulting in rapid economic growth and continuous improvement of people's livelihoods. I believe that under the protection of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni and the leadership of the Cambodian government led by Prime Minister Hongma Nai, the Cambodian people will surely achieve new and greater achievements in the cause of national construction. The relationship between China and Cambodia was personally created and carefully cultivated by the older generation of leaders of both countries, and has withstood the test of international changes and remained as solid as a rock. The two countries took the lead in building a bilateral community of common destiny, and in carrying out cooperation in jointly building the "the Belt and Road". They supported each other in the cause of maintaining stability and promoting development and prosperity in their respective countries. They worked together in the struggle to safeguard international fairness and justice, set an example for building a new type of international relations, and made contributions to promoting the building of a community of common destiny for mankind. China regards Cambodia as a key focus of its neighboring diplomacy and firmly supports Cambodia in maintaining strategic autonomy and pursuing a development path that is in line with its own national conditions. I look forward to meeting and talking with King Sihamoni, Queen Mother Monilet, Prince Hun Sen and Prime Minister Hon Manet to renew friendship and seek common development, constantly enrich the "diamond six sided" cooperation framework between China and Cambodia, deepen higher level of political mutual trust, higher quality and mutually beneficial cooperation, higher level of security, higher frequency of people to people and cultural exchanges, and higher standards of strategic cooperation, bring more benefits to the two peoples, and contribute more positive energy to regional and world peace and stability.
