Recently, the land for the Guangzhou Station to Guangzhou South Station connection line project has been approved by the provincial government, and the project has entered the construction phase of the entire line, further accelerating the project's opening. After the project is put into operation, the train travel time from Guangzhou Station to Guangzhou South Station will only take 15 minutes, and it will take 1 hour to reach Hong Kong West Kowloon Station. The passenger flow from the southern part of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area can be more conveniently introduced into the central urban area of Guangzhou. This is of great significance for further improving the interconnection between the main and guest stations of Guangzhou hub, enhancing the flexibility of hub and road network transportation, and implementing the national strategy of building the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. The project covers an area of 13.28 hectares and plans to invest 8.224 billion yuan. The land use of the entire line involves multiple approval factors such as forest use and farmland occupation and compensation. In order to accelerate the approval process of project land use, the Guangzhou Planning and Natural Resources Bureau has intervened in advance and formulated an approval plan. The bureau actively connected with the Guangzhou Railway Command, sorted out and investigated the restrictive elements of planning resources involved in the project, further strengthened the training and guidance for the test paper units, and comprehensively improved the quality of land use approval test papers. During the approval process, the Guangzhou Planning and Natural Resources Bureau took the initiative to strengthen "vertical communication" with the superior natural resources management department, enhance "horizontal linkage" with functional departments such as human resources and social security, forestry, and transportation, resolutely implement "promoting natural resources work with the spirit of reform", further optimize the land use approval process, simplify the materials for submitting approval papers, and achieve "better on top, faster on top".
