During the Qingming Festival and weekends off, various ports in Macau experienced a peak in inbound and outbound passenger flow. On the 7th, the Public Security Police Department of the Macao SAR Government released statistical data showing that from the 4th to the 6th, the cumulative number of people entering and leaving Macao reached 2.014 million, with an average of 671000 people per day, an increase of 10.8% compared to 1.817 million people during the same period last year (the three-day Qingming Festival holiday in mainland China). Among all ports, Guanzha Port has the highest number of passengers with 1.011 million, accounting for 50.2% of the total; The clearance volume of Qingmao Port is 311000 people, accounting for 15.5%; The number of inbound and outbound passengers at the Macau Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge reached 273000, accounting for 13.6%; Hengqin Port has cleared a total of 260000 people, accounting for 12.9%. The number of inbound tourists reached 409000, a year-on-year increase of 14.7%. Among them, there were 301000 mainland tourists, accounting for 73.7%; 72000 Hong Kong tourists, accounting for 17.6%; Taiwan, China passengers and other passengers accounted for 2% and 6.7% respectively. It is reported that considering the increasing demand for Macau residents to worship their ancestors or travel during the Qingming Festival holiday, as well as the peak of outbound tourism from mainland China and Hong Kong, the Public Security Police Department has made various police deployments in advance to ensure the safe and orderly flow of people in relevant locations. The clearance data during the Qingming holiday reflects the deepening integration effect of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and the significant improvement in the collaborative management ability of border inspection departments in the three regions.
