The China Meteorological Administration held a press conference for April 1st. Huang Zhuo, Deputy Director of the National Meteorological Center, gave suggestions on how to prevent flying debris at the meeting. Huang Zhuo introduced that the period from late March to early May each year is the peak season for flying fluff, during which the temperature rise period and sunny days with large temperature differences between day and night are the main meteorological conditions that trigger flying fluff. At this time, the daily average temperature generally remains stable for 3 consecutive days or more, exceeding 15 ℃, especially when the daily maximum temperature exceeds 25 ℃. Sunshine can also last for more than 6 hours, promoting plant photosynthesis and fruit ripening, which is beneficial for the female fruit of poplar and willow trees to mature, crack, and release flying fluff. Clear weather is not only conducive to increasing daytime sunshine, but also has a large temperature difference between day and night. Low nighttime temperatures and rapid daytime warming can accelerate the release of flocs. Lower relative humidity (less than 70%) and 1-3 levels of gentle breeze are most conducive to the dispersal of flying fluff. Huang Zhuo stated that before the Qingming Festival holiday, it is expected that some areas in Beijing Tianjin Hebei, Shandong, Shaanxi and other regions will enter the period of floating white poplar and weeping willow. Remind the public to pay attention to personal protection when going out, wear masks, protective goggles, etc., try to choose clothes made of materials that are not easy to adhere to fluff, avoid contact with allergens, and provide effective physical shielding for fluff; Outdoor activities should be avoided as much as possible from 10am to 4pm during the high incidence period and areas where flying fluff is scattered. Secondly, pay attention to daily cleaning. Try to close doors and windows as much as possible at home. If there are flying fluff floating in, use air filtration or purification equipment, and clean it promptly with a vacuum cleaner or spray water to wet it before cleaning. When driving outside, do not open windows. The ventilation mode can be set to internal circulation; Take off your coat and clean your face, nose, and mouth promptly when going out and going home.
