From March 30 to 31, the "the Belt and Road" International Forum on Legal Services was held in Xiamen. Before the forum, the "the Belt and Road" Legal Service Alliance elected the first Council, President, Vice President and Secretary General. It is reported that the establishment of the "the Belt and Road" legal service alliance is a practical measure to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in the rule of law field of the "the Belt and Road". The Alliance is composed of lawyers, arbitration, commercial mediation and other industry associations, legal institutions and individuals from countries and regions that jointly build the "the Belt and Road". It is the first international professional organization in the rule of law field named after the "the Belt and Road". It will effectively gather lawyers, arbitration, commercial mediation and other full chain legal service resources, provide high-quality legal services for the economic, trade and people to people exchanges of countries that jointly build the "the Belt and Road", and better serve to ensure the stability and long-term development of high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road". Wang Junfeng, chairman of the "the Belt and Road" Legal Service Alliance, said at the forum on the 31st that with the continuous increase of international economic and trade exchanges and cross-border investment, the demand for legal services in the "the Belt and Road" is increasing. At present, Chinese law firms have set up 207 branches in 37 countries and regions, including 73 branches in relevant countries and regions jointly building the "the Belt and Road". The number of lawyers engaged in international legal services has reached more than 12000. The parties involved in international arbitration cases have covered over 100 countries and regions worldwide. The continuous deepening of the "the Belt and Road" construction has brought rare development opportunities for international legal services, and the rule of law plays an increasingly important role in promoting the high-quality development of the "the Belt and Road". Wang Junfeng said that the Alliance will effectively link the full chain of legal service resources such as lawyers, arbitration and commercial mediation of countries and regions related to the "the Belt and Road", and provide professional teams, organizational guarantees and diversified platforms for the high-quality development of the "the Belt and Road".
