On the evening of March 11th local time, high-level delegations from the United States and Ukraine concluded their talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and subsequently issued a joint statement. The Ukrainian side accepts the 30 day temporary ceasefire statement, stating that Ukraine is willing to accept the 30 day temporary ceasefire proposed by the United States. Ukraine has expressed its willingness to accept the proposal of the United States to immediately implement a 30 day temporary ceasefire. The ceasefire period can be extended with the agreement of both parties, but it must be accepted by Russia and implemented simultaneously. The United States will immediately lift the suspension of intelligence sharing and provide security assistance to Ukraine. The US Ukrainian delegation also discussed the importance of humanitarian efforts as part of the peace process, particularly during the ceasefire period, including exchanging prisoners of war, releasing detained civilians, and helping displaced Ukrainian children return. Both delegations agreed to determine the composition of the negotiation team and immediately begin negotiations to achieve lasting peace and ensure Ukraine's long-term security. The United States has promised to discuss these specific proposals with Russian representatives. The Ukrainian delegation once again emphasizes that European partners should participate in the peace process. The two presidents have agreed to reach a comprehensive agreement on the development of key mineral resources in Ukraine as soon as possible, in order to enhance the Ukrainian economy and ensure Ukraine's long-term prosperity and security. On that day, Yermak, the Director of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated that the United States and Ukraine have taken important steps towards restoring sustainable peace in Ukraine. The representatives of both countries unanimously believe that it is time to start establishing a lasting peace process. (New Society)
