Courts at all levels have concluded 40000 cases of telecommunications fraud involving 82000 people, a year-on-year increase of 26.7%; The procuratorial organs punished telecommunications fraud crimes in accordance with the law, prosecuting 78000 people, a year-on-year increase of 53.9%; The joint supervision of the Ministry of Public Security in handling major cases related to telecommunications fraud in northern Myanmar... This year's work reports of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate both focus on "punishing telecommunications fraud crimes", demonstrating the strength of the political and legal organs in cracking down on telecommunications fraud and their responsibility to protect the safety of people's lives and property. At present, the situation of telecommunications network fraud crimes remains severe and complex, with the means of electronic fraud constantly evolving and upgrading, showing characteristics such as organized crime, specialized criminal chains, and complex types of crimes. Especially many criminals extend their fraudulent activities overseas and evade legal sanctions through cross-border crimes, bringing new challenges to judicial investigations. Faced with these challenges, on the one hand, the political and legal organs make full use of existing legal provisions, strictly crack down on telecommunications network fraud, coordinated crimes, and derivative crimes in accordance with the law, and increase efforts to thoroughly investigate and recover fraudulent funds in accordance with the law, urging the defendants to actively return their stolen goods and compensation, and making every effort to recover economic losses for the victims. On the other hand, we will continue to deepen international judicial cooperation, fully utilize international cooperation platforms, and strengthen the judicial force to combat cross-border telecommunications and network fraud crimes. As of now, all the fraud zones in northern Myanmar near the border have been cleared, and China, Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos are working together to launch a concentrated crackdown on fraud activities in the Thai Myanmar border area. These thunderous measures effectively enhance the sense of security of the people. Judicial practice has proven that telecommunications fraud is actually a preventable crime, and enhancing public awareness of prevention is crucial for improving the efficiency of combating crime. To this end, while intensifying the crackdown, the political and legal organs have not stopped at cracking down on fraud, but have continuously improved front-end prevention, deeply promoted anti fraud propaganda, turned "mending the fold after the sheep is lost" into "preparing for the future", and tried to make prevention and control ahead of crime as much as possible. Relevant measures have effectively enhanced the public's awareness and ability to recognize and prevent fraud. It should be noted that there is a new trend of using AI technology to engage in electronic fraud crimes. For these new situations and trends, political and legal organs should also keep up with the times, adhere to comprehensive "prevention and control", work together to improve the effectiveness of communication interception, network blocking, and fund interception, weave a dense and severe legal network for electronic fraud crimes, so as to effectively cut off the "black hands" of electronic fraud and better protect the safety of people's lives and property.
