In recent years, "village evenings," "village songs," "village dances," and other "small but beautiful" rural cultural performances have emerged and repeatedly "gained popularity" across the country. However, it is rare to integrate rural cultural performances into large-scale cultural exhibitions or stage performances. Recently, the "Da Di Liu Cai · National Rural Culture and Art Exhibition Season" held at the National Agricultural Exhibition Center in Beijing made up for this regret and presented a rural cultural "carnival" with a strong artistic atmosphere to the audience. Especially during the exhibition season, the special cultural and artistic performance of "Village Tides and Vibrant Colors" brought together various local literature and art scattered on the rural land, opening up a vivid picture of rural cultural revitalization and allowing rural areas and literature to be better seen by the audience. The combination of tradition and modern innovation to bring new colors to ancient intangible cultural heritage is a highlight of this exhibition. The villagers of Mingyi Village in Jinan City, Shandong Province, brought the village dance "Beautiful Shandong, My Home", which cleverly integrates the two national intangible cultural heritage arts of Jiaozhou Yangge and Haiyang Yangge. The dance combines the unique style of Jiaozhou Yangge lifting heavy, falling light, walking floating, and twisting waist when moving, as well as the distinct characteristics of Haiyang Yangge's rough and bold, lively rhythm, and resounding drum beats. The dance music adopts the melody of the traditional Shandong folk song "Who Doesn't Say Our Hometown is Good", and on this basis, lyrics are added with rap elements, allowing the audience to not only feel the classical charm of traditional dance, but also the joyful and lively modern square dance, full of infectiousness. In addition, during the exhibition, you can also see the wonderful performances of many intangible cultural heritage techniques such as Mongolian Changdiao, Hupu Flower Drum, Chongren Twisted Dragon, etc. As an important carrier of inheriting traditional rural culture, this intangible cultural heritage themed stage art program adopts a new posture of blending tradition and modernity, allowing people to more intuitively feel intangible cultural heritage and fall in love with it. This exhibition is still a window to showcase the new scene of integrated development of agriculture, culture, and tourism. In the jumping program "Night of Lao Mudeng" featuring the Lisu and Nu ethnic groups, Yunnan farmer artists hold the four stringed plucked instrument Dabiya of the Nu ethnic group and perform with the Lisu's piccolo and string, exuding a sense of happiness and romance unique to the Lao Mudeng people. Laomudeng Village in Fugong County, Nujiang, Yunnan Province was once a deeply impoverished area. On the road to rural revitalization, Laomudeng Village has integrated agriculture, culture, and tourism development, and people's lives have become increasingly prosperous. The former deeply impoverished village has become one of the "most beautiful villages in China" in the hearts of tourists. In the local area, 'Night of Old Muden' is not only a song, but also a cultural activity full of ethnic characteristics that is deeply loved by tourists. The Wuyi tea dance "Please come to Wuyi to eat tea" integrates tea picking, tea picking, tea rocking, tea kneading, tea worship and other actions into the dance, so that the traditional tea culture and tea making skills of Mount Wuyi can be seen by the audience in the form of dance art. These exhibition performances showcase new achievements in the integration and promotion of cultural and characteristic industries in various regions through artistic forms. All programs of 'Da Di Liu Cai' originate from rural areas, with 'farmer singers',' farmer poets', and 'rural stars' always being the main characters on stage, reflecting the distinctive cultural characteristics of the' village prefix 'of the rural main field, agricultural main line, and farmers as the main body. In the program "Farmers' Photographers Watching the Great Wall", village representatives from Hualougou Village, the "Photography Art Village at the Foot of the Great Wall" in Luanping County, Hebei Province, narrated the stories of village photographers who "use their left hoe and right camera" to watch the Great Wall and develop cultural tourism such as Great Wall tourism, photography, and homestays. The song "Run! Countryside" is performed by a farmer brother band composed of farmers from Jun County, Henan Province, and an interactive performance by the village BA national champion team. They perfectly embody the fashion sense and artistic style of rural culture. Intangible cultural heritage crafts, agricultural techniques, folk festivals, cultural and sports tourism... These literary and artistic works, which are based on real rural life, reflect rural art, and sing about a better life, show us that the vast land is a stage for literary and artistic creation everywhere. Since 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, together with relevant units such as the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, has organized and carried out a series of activities called "Land Flowing Colors, National Rural Cultural Revitalization in Action" to promote the revitalization of rural culture, supporting and encouraging the integration, gathering, and innovation of rural cultural resources in various regions. As its final work, the "Land Flowing Colors · National Rural Culture and Art Exhibition Season" event allows the audience to more concretely feel the colorful scene of cultural construction radiating new rural atmosphere and cultural elements stimulating new vitality in rural areas.
