Students from 9 schools in Madhesi Province, Nepal received a donation of 1000 love bikes from China on the 20th. The launch ceremony of the Love Bike Nepal was held on the same day at a school in Bilganj City, Madhesi Province. 504 students from 5 schools in Bala County and 496 students from 4 schools in Bursa County will benefit from the project. Zou Zhiqiang, Director of the Nepal Office of the China Rural Development Foundation, delivered a speech at the ceremony, expressing his hope that this donation will become the beginning of solving the difficulties faced by children in remote areas of Nepal in accessing education. During his speech, Imtiaz Alam, Deputy Mayor of Birganj, expressed his expectation for China to expand its support in the future. During her speech, Counsellor Wang Xin of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal stated that China has launched a series of livelihood projects in Nepal, including "Vibrant Villages," "Happy Communities," "Ganlu Plan," and "Lighting Up the Future." The Chinese Embassy will continue to promote projects that benefit the people in Nepal and bring more benefits to the Nepalese people. The donated love bikes were provided by Hello Bike and transported to Nepal by the China Rural Development Foundation. It is reported that Nepal is the third country after Cambodia and Laos to receive love bikes. As of 2024, Cambodia and Laos have received a total of 6024 love bikes. (New Society)
