2025-01-06

The Chinese Opera and Dance Theatre's ethnic dance drama "Li Bai" was staged at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on the 5th, marking the opening of the 2025 "National Style and Charm Fragrant River" cultural performance season. On that day's performance, sword dance soared and poems were sung. The dance drama selects several major moments in Li Bai's life, presenting scenes such as "Moonlit Night Thoughts", "Drinking Alone", and "Returning Home" in the form of dance. After the performance, Ms. Wang, a Hong Kong citizen, said, "I have always loved Li Bai's poetry. This dance drama makes me feel like I have traveled through time and space, experiencing the ups and downs of those years with Li Bai. This beauty is so intoxicating!" The "Chinese Style and Charm Fragrant River" cultural performance season, which has entered its third year, has become a unique cultural brand in Hong Kong. It is reported that in 2024, the "National Style and Charm Fragrant River" event held 16 performances in Hong Kong. In 2025, the "Fragrant River with National Style and Charm" will uphold the vision of "using culture as a medium to promote spiritual communication", and carefully plan and organize more high-quality cultural activities. After the ballet "Li Bai", projects such as the National Centre for the Performing Arts drama "Lin Zexu", Jiangsu Grand Theatre drama "Dream of the Red Chamber", China Children's Art Theatre children's drama "Cat God in the Forbidden City", Xi'an Warrior Flag Acrobatic Troupe acrobatic drama "Swan Lake", Shanghai Song and Dance Troupe dance drama "Li Qingzhao" will gradually go to Hong Kong. Artists will also enter communities and schools to carry out a series of interactive communication activities. The "National Style and Charm Fragrant River" cultural performance season is guided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government of Hong Kong. It is hosted by China Foreign Culture Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Bauhinia Culture Group. (New Society)
