In order to actively respond to the call of the Liwan District Committee and Government, and with a spirit of overcoming difficulties, to increase efforts to assist in the task of attracting investment and talent throughout the district, the Chairman of the Liwan District Overseas Chinese Federation, Bu Zhiqun, organized a delegation of 12 Liwan overseas Chinese leaders and businessmen from all over the world to participate in the "2024 World Overseas Chinese Gathering in Haojiang Conference and the 19th Leadership Structure Inaugural Ceremony of the Macao Returned Overseas Chinese Association" held in Macau from December 27 to 29, 2024. The event was attended by leaders of more than 180 overseas Chinese organizations, youth representatives, and over 1000 people from various sectors of Macau society from more than 80 countries and regions. This event, co sponsored by the Chinese Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the Macao Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, with the theme of "Gathering the Heart and Wisdom of Overseas Chinese", aims to jointly explore and promote the high-quality development of the "the Belt and Road" and Macao's unique role in the overall national development by pooling the power of overseas Chinese around the world. The launching ceremony of the "2024 World Overseas Chinese Gathering in Haojiang Conference" was attended by Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Edmund Ho wah, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, Cen Haohui, and Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, Zheng Xincong. Cheng Xueyuan, Vice Chairman of the All China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, attended the event and delivered a speech.
