2024-12-31
The National Immigration Administration issued a forecast on the 28th that ports across the country will experience a peak in inbound and outbound passenger flow during the New Year holiday, with an average of 2.05 million daily inbound and outbound passengers, an increase of 18.8% compared to the same period last year. The peak period is expected to mainly focus on the evening of December 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025. With the continuous optimization of visa free transit and visa free entry policies for foreigners, as well as the continuous optimization of convenient policies for mainland residents to travel to Hong Kong and Macao "one visa for many trips" and "one week trips", the inbound and outbound passenger flow at large international airport ports has steadily increased. During the New Year holiday, the daily average number of customs clearance personnel at Beijing Capital Airport, Shanghai Pudong Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, and Chengdu Tianfu Airport is expected to reach 41000, 94000, 43000, and 16000 respectively. The passenger flow adjacent to the land ports of Hong Kong and Macau is rapidly increasing. The daily average number of customs clearance personnel at Gongbei, Qingmao, Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, and Hengqin ports in Zhuhai is expected to reach 360000, 105000, 96000, and 80000 respectively. The daily average number of passengers at Luohu, Futian, Shenzhen Bay, Guangzhou Shenzhen Hong Kong High speed Railway West Kowloon Station, and Huanggang Port in Shenzhen is expected to reach 255000, 172000, 165000, 83000, and 69000 respectively. The National Immigration Administration reminds all Chinese and foreign inbound and outbound travelers to pay attention to changes in port passenger flow and customs clearance before traveling, and carefully check whether their entry and exit documents and visa endorsements are valid. If you encounter difficulties during the customs clearance process, you can call the 12367 service hotline of the National Immigration Administration or seek help from the immigration management police on duty at any time.
