Twenty-five years ago, Macao, which had experienced much, returned to the embrace of its motherland and the Macao Special Administrative Region the People's Republic of China was established, ushering in a new era in Macao's history. Recently, Chinese President Xi Jinping has set out for Macao attend the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the return of Macao to the motherland and the inauguration ceremony of the sixth government of the Macao Administrative Region, as well as inspecting the Macao Special Administrative Region.

The past 25 years have been the fastest-growing and highest-quality period in Macao's history, writing a splendid chapter in the practice of "one country, two systems" with Macao's characteristics. The policy of "one country, two systems" is not only a top-level design institutional arrangement, but also the source of Macao's economic development, improvement of people's livelihood and social stability. President Xi Jinping pointed out that Macao's practice tells us that as long as we firmly believe in and faithfully implement "one country, two systems", the vitality and superiority of "one country, two systems will be fully demonstrated. In the 25 years since Macao's return, it is precisely because of the comprehensive and accurate implementation of the "one country two systems" policy, the implementation of the central government's comprehensive governance authority, and the effective maintenance of the constitution and the Basic Law of Macao, that have been able to achieve historic achievements with Macao's characteristics in promoting public administration reform, moderate economic diversification, promoting social and people's livelihood development, integrating into the national development pattern.
