The sunlight shone on the towering martyr memorial tower, reflecting the solemn and dignified golden bronze statue of the bugler on the top of the tower. Lingchuan County is located at the southern foot of the Taihang Mountains and was the Tainan Anti Japanese Base of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army at that time. From October 1943 to 1949, Lingchuan held more than 40 training classes for elite soldiers, training over 1700 elite soldiers. Mr. Jiao Shuwen, a historical researcher of the "2023 Touching Shanxi National Defense Mobilization News Figures" and "Lingchuan Trumpets" in the Shanxi Provincial Military Region, introduced that more than 700 politically determined and technically skilled Trumpets have entered the regular army and served as buglers for companies and above, while the rest have been assigned to local armed forces in surrounding areas. After the implementation of the new system of military designations in 2019, the red brand "Lingchuan Haobing" once again received widespread attention from society. In 2023, the military and civilian joint establishment of the "Lingchuan Haobing" brand training work team in Lingchuan County will focus on exploring red resources and promoting the spirit of Haobing. The County People's Armed Forces Department adopts the "Five Ones" project, which includes editing and publishing a compilation of historical materials on Lingchuan bugle soldiers, creating and creating a high-quality party class with Lingchuan bugle soldiers as the main content, choreographing a dance with Lingchuan bugle soldiers as the theme, establishing and strengthening a Lingchuan bugle militia class, and creating an educational demonstration primary school with Lingchuan bugle soldiers as the theme. It continues to carry out the "Thousand Famous Soldiers Forge Ambition, Taihang Spirit Forever" educational practice activities and the "Lingchuan bugle soldiers" red gene inheritance series of work. On the day of the August 1st Army Day in 2023, the Lingchuan County Party Committee and County Government held a grand ceremony to establish the "Lingchuan Haobing" militia class. Militia Ma Haojie received the flag from the county party secretary. Ma Haojie is a business manager at the County Postal Savings Bank. Upon seeing the recruitment notice for "Lingchuan Haobing" issued by the County People's Armed Forces Department, he immediately registered. He said, "I have always hoped to join the military since I was young, but due to various reasons, I was unable to do so. Now that I am able to join the militia, it has also fulfilled my dream of joining the military." After becoming a member of the bugle squad, Ma Haojie worked hard and demonstrated outstanding performance in the first batch of bugle training organized by the county People's Armed Forces Department. He was awarded the title of first-class bugle coach and will undertake the bugle training tasks in the future pre military training. Becoming an excellent bugler is far from as simple as one imagines Talking about his experience of learning to play military bugles, Ma Haojie said that during the revolutionary war, there were over 100 types of bugles, such as wake-up bugles, meal bugles, assembly bugles, charge bugles, and turn off bugles. It was necessary to practice repeatedly and not tolerate any mistakes. There are also some numbers that are formulated for combat, which further tests the adaptability and memory ability of the bugler. After the implementation of the new system of military designations in 2019, the numbering system was streamlined to 21 types, but the role of 'fighting for war' remained unchanged. In order to adapt to different combat conditions, students not only have to practice in rainy and snowy weather, but also often practice horn blowing urgently after combat and long-distance running. Sometimes the instructor will take them to high mountains to practice horn blowing in the face of strong winds. Since the beginning of this year, Lingchuan County has further strengthened the promotion of the red culture of "Lingchuan Haobing", fully played the role of the "Lingchuan Haobing" brand training team, and promoted the development of various work. Since its establishment, the special team has visited 20 relevant units in Shanxi and Henan provinces, searched for more than 20000 archival materials, collected the deeds of more than 700 old bugler soldiers, developed a case teaching party lesson on "Exploration and Inspiration of Lingchuan bugler Brand Training", premiered Lingchuan bugler dance, unveiled the brand and established a national defense education and propaganda base for Lingchuan bugler soldiers, recorded and taught the case interview party lesson "Never Disappearing bugler", created and launched Lingchuan bugler education demonstration school, and carried out bugler training, etc. In recent years, the People's Armed Forces Department of Lingchuan County has focused on its main responsibilities and business, following the idea of precise conscription. In the annual conscription work, the training mechanism for bugler soldiers has been introduced into the pre service education activities for new recruits, so that new recruits can strengthen their determination to join the army and serve the country in learning the spirit of bugler soldiers, and solidify their responsibility to become the inheritors of bugler soldiers through honing their skills. My second grandfather is a member of the 'Lingchuan Haobing'. Before, I only had a vague concept of Haobing. In the pre service education, I systematically learned the historical knowledge and playing skills of military bugles, which played a great role in obtaining the training opportunity of a bugler in the army. I am very grateful to my hometown People's Armed Forces Department Zhang Zixing, a soldier who enlisted from Lingchuan, told reporters that he was the first bugler trained and transported by the Lingchuan County People's Armed Forces Department to the army, and also the first Lingchuan bugler to participate in the training of the entire army's bugler coaches. He has now become a backbone of the group army's bugler teaching. During this year's family visit and vacation, he specifically came to the People's Armed Forces Department to report on his position as a department instructor, and communicated and exchanged ideas with the new batch of students who are currently undergoing military training at the county People's Armed Forces Department. As of now, Lingchuan County has provided basic military training for 150 new recruits, of whom 15 have grown into call officers and coaches after joining the army. The "Lingchuan Haobing" militia team, composed of personnel from various units in the county, actively participates in local forest fire prevention, fighting against ice and snow disasters, and plays a unique role in boosting morale and spirit.
