According to the latest statistics from the National Energy Administration, the scale of nuclear power in operation and construction in China has risen to the world's largest. It is reported that in 2024, 11 units of 5 projects including Xuwei in Jiangsu Province were approved, with 102 nuclear power units in operation and approved for construction nationwide, with an installed capacity of 113 million kilowatts, making China the world's largest nuclear power country. In 2025, China will approve the commencement of a batch of coastal nuclear power projects with mature conditions, steadily promote the construction of nuclear power projects under construction, and build units such as the "Guohe No.1" demonstration project. By the end of 2025, the installed capacity of nuclear power plants in operation will reach 65 million kilowatts. (New Society)
