Daishan, Zhejiang: Smart Agriculture Unleashes Vigorous Potential
2024-12-11
When new technologies and equipment are applied to the entire process from breeding to harvesting, when one person can manage thousands of acres of farmland, and when every corner of the field can enjoy the convenience of the Internet of Things... With the intelligent "wings" of digitalization, what kind of vigorous potential will modern agriculture unleash? Recently, the reporter visited the Daishan Modern Agriculture Industrial Park located in the southwest of Daishan Island, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. As the visit deepened, the answer to the above questions gradually became clear. The Daishan Modern Agricultural Industrial Park covers an area of nearly 10000 acres, and the core area was originally a salt field for sun drying and salt production. After years of soil improvement and reclamation, the once barren saline alkali land has now revealed the embryonic form of high-yield and fertile farmland. 5223 acres of newly reclaimed farmland provide strong support for local grain growth. Water is a key factor in the management of saline alkali land. A lake that can store water has been built in the park, which can be filled with fresh water during the flood season. In recent years, we have repeatedly flooded and drained salt to remove excess salt from the ground with water, thereby reducing soil salt content Zhou Lida, the on-site manager of Zhejiang Agricultural Yunke (Daishan) Agriculture Co., Ltd., the operator of the park, said. Through continuous improvement, the soil salinity in the park has decreased from the initial 20 ‰ to the current 3 ‰, and the grain yield has also improved. This year's rice yield data reached 1050 kilograms per mu. Behind the impressive data, there is also the deep support of smart agriculture. In the future farms of the park, new equipment, models, and technologies such as automated agricultural facilities and equipment, digital management platforms for agricultural planting, and unmanned agricultural machinery are fully applied. Located on an island, the shortage of freshwater resources has always been a major challenge for agricultural development. To this end, the park has introduced various types of water-saving irrigation equipment to improve the efficiency of water resource utilization. In a farmland in the park, agricultural technicians are controlling a self-propelled translational sprinkler system that is 100 meters long to carry out sprinkler operations. We have also laid over 20 kilometers of irrigation pipelines in the park, with intelligent devices controlling the water outlets of each field, avoiding problems such as evaporation waste and leakage caused by open channel irrigation Zhou Lida said. With the help of the smart agriculture system, Zhou Lida can easily manage thousands of acres of land in the park by himself. He only needs to click on the smart device screen in his hand, relying on high-definition cameras and sensor devices distributed throughout the field, to have a clear view of soil moisture, soil salinity, meteorological data, pest types and other information, providing data reference for scientific planting on the farm. Even managing thousands of acres of land cannot do without drones and unmanned tractors, they are all my 'capable helpers' Zhou Lida pointed to the unmanned inspection machine in his hand and said that it is equipped with a multispectral sensor. After automatic flight inspection every day, it can accurately perceive the seedling situation information of various plots. If there are pests in some plots, it will transmit the information to the plant protection drone, which will then carry out precise spraying. At present, the park is preparing to sow winter wheat. Zhou Lida lightly tapped the device screen in his hand, and a self driving intelligent tractor in the distant field began autonomous operation. Yesterday I had already set up the plot for it, and today it can automatically carry out tasks such as stubble cutting and rotary tillage. "Managing thousands of acres of land alone, Zhou Lida felt a great sense of achievement. He said that thanks to the technological power of smart agriculture, the quality and efficiency advantages of large-scale planting have become increasingly apparent, and the average income per mu in the park has reached over 7000 yuan. Before and after the heavy snowfall season, the vegetable and fruit agricultural factory walked into the greenhouse of Daishan Modern Agricultural Industrial Park, where warm and humid air carried vibrant vitality, forming a sharp contrast with the coolness outside the greenhouse. In the greenhouse, soilless cultivated fruits and vegetables are layered and spread out; Mature small tomatoes are round and full, emitting a tempting luster. Surrounding villager Wang Yanfen is carrying out operations such as tying vines and pruning small tomato seedlings. These small tomatoes have already grown seven or eight leaves, and we need to trim the side branches nearby in a timely manner to improve their yield and quality, "said Wang Yanfen. After retirement, I want to find something to do. It only takes me 10 minutes to ride an electric scooter from home every day, and I can earn more than 6000 yuan a month Wang Yanfen said that there are still 7 to 8 operators like her in the greenhouse. Inside the greenhouse, hydroponic vegetables are glowing with a green luster. Compared with soil cultivated vegetables, hydroponic vegetables have more crop rotations, up to four per year, resulting in a significant increase in yield. Moreover, hydroponic vegetables have a finer plant fiber structure and a fresher and more tender taste, "said Hu Bin, project leader of Zhejiang Haizhou Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. High quality vegetable cultivation relies on high-quality vegetable seedling cultivation. The Daishan County Automated Vegetable Seedling Factory located in the park has the world's advanced sowing and seedling assembly line and automated control system. From material preparation, sowing and germination, to seedbed stacking, fertilization and seedling refining, a series of processes can all be produced and managed by an intelligent control system The project leader He Binbin said that the seedling factory can breed at least 20 million vegetable and fruit seedlings throughout the year, and the price of seedlings is lower than that of purchased seedlings, which can effectively meet the demand of local farmers for high-quality seedlings.
