The prototype of the underwater unmanned charging station called "Oktavis" was unveiled at the Russian "Military 2024" exhibition held in August this year. According to the design, the "Oktaweis" underwater unmanned charging station is equipped with lithium-ion batteries, while considering one or more external battery modules, with power coming from onshore, offshore platforms, or ocean energy conversion devices. It can be fixed on the seabed or anchored in water, with an installation depth of 500 to 1000 meters; According to hydrological conditions and submersible missions, it can support the operation of 1 to 3 submarines simultaneously. One of the main functions of the "Oktaweis" underwater unmanned charging station is to charge underwater unmanned submersibles or serve as a docking station for them to stand by and dock. This charging station can scan the working status of unmanned underwater vehicles and update their software as needed. At the same time, the "Oktavis" underwater unmanned charging station may also serve as an information storage and transmission center, temporarily storing or transmitting data collected by underwater unmanned vehicles to shore based control centers.
